Kriti Sanon's 'Mimi' had huge expectations as the trailer of the movie was highly impressive and the audience was badly waiting to watch the movie on July 30th. But as the movie got leaked online, the team dropped the movie on Netflix today evening itself and Team india Herald brings you the review of the movie. Mimi who hails from rajasthan has dreams of being an actress and she moves to Mumbai. 


She gets in touch with a guy named Jolly who works in the film industry. He moves Mimi to mumbai and she pays him a few lakhs of money to shoot a music video and her portfolio is also done at that time. As Mimi is not rich, she tries to save money and she performs in several dance shows and during one such show, a foreign couple sees her and they are looking for a surrogate mother as the female foreign lady is unable to conceive. 


When they are looking for a healthy girl, they see Mimi and realize she can bear their child and they go through bhanu Prathap who is their driver. The foreign couple promises him 500,000 Rupees and Mimi accepts as she will be getting 2 Million Rupees in return. Mimi also gets pregnant and when things are going smooth, in some pregnancy tests the foreign couple finds out that the baby in her womb would be born with Down's syndrome and they wanted to abort the baby immediately. 


But Mimi returns home and lies that bhanu is the daddy and finally she delivers a boy baby and what happens next in Mimi's family forms the rest of the story. Mimi is a complete family entertainer right from the word go and we have lots of comedies and some of them are even emotional. The screenplay is completely effective and the writing is crisp and straight. 


As the sensitive topic is conveyed in a humorous manner it appeals to audiences of all ages and the dialogues from roshan Shankar are a major plus. Kudos to the writers for not mocking sensitive issues like surrogacy and motherhood and handling it in a very convincing way. However, the final 20 minutes turn into serious mode and will bring tears rolling down our eyes and we are sure finally we all get Happy Tears!
