Farmers have been protesting the federal government's three new agricultural rules for the past year, and prime minister Narendra Modi declared on friday that he would rescind them. On the 29th, the parliamentary winter session will begin. It was previously announced that prime minister Narendra Modi would lead a Union cabinet meeting on the 24th.

Meanwhile, the SKM, a coalition of farmers' unions, held a conference yesterday near delhi at Singh Border. "Farmers will gather on the 26th at protest sites along the delhi border. The tractor rally towards the parliament is scheduled for the 29th.
