As a result of Karthik's conviction, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, a Rs 20,000 fine, and a further year in prison to pay the fine. Similarly, the Tirupur North All women police detained two people, Jeeva (28) and Pandi (30), from the Chinnamanur region of Theni district, on october 14 last year under the Pokcho Act for sexually harassing another 15-year-old girl in the Anupparpalayam police station area.
