In the SSC exam paper leaks case, former minister P Narayana was granted bail. Narayana was granted bail by a chittoor district judge. Narayana was ordered by the judge to produce two Rs 1 lakh surety bonds by May 18. After medical examinations at the chittoor government general hospital, the former minister was brought before the court. The magistrate was advised by Narayana's lawyers that he is not the chairman of the Narayana Group of Educational Institutions.

They told the court that Narayana resigned from his position in 2014 and is no longer affiliated with the schools. Narayana was apprehended in hyderabad by the CID police and transported to Chittoor. The CID police had already detained Narayana school vice-principal Giridhar reddy and others in the case. 60 instructors from both Narayana and government institutions have been arrested by the authorities. According to the police, they tracked the phone numbers of some of the accused and suspects involved in the question paper leaks. Meanwhile, Ministers Botsa Satyanarayana and Peddireddy Ramachandra reddy warned the media that some instructors colluded to harm the government by releasing the test question paper.
