Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin paid rich floral tributes to the portrait of Professor K. Anbazhagan, former Finance minister and senior Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader, commemorating his enduring contributions to tamil Nadu’s politics, administration, and social justice movement.
The chief minister offered flowers at the portrait of professor Anbazhagan as a mark of respect and remembrance, acknowledging his role as one of the key architects of the Dravidian ideology and a guiding force behind several progressive policies of the state. Senior ministers, party leaders, and government officials were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, M.K. stalin recalled professor Anbazhagan as a distinguished scholar, eloquent orator, and a principled politician who devoted his life to the welfare of the people. He highlighted Anbazhagan’s exemplary service as Finance minister, during which he presented multiple state budgets that emphasized social equity, education, and inclusive development.

As a close associate of former chief minister M. Karunanidhi, he played a crucial role in shaping the ideological foundation and policy direction of the DMK for several decades.
