The government of andhra pradesh has established new norms for selling cinema tickets online. The andhra pradesh Film Development Corporation (APFDC) has been named as the Nodal Agency, and it would be in charge of the service provider for the online ticketing system. According to the instructions, all theatres in the state shall reach an agreement with the Nodal Agency, and movie tickets should only be sold through the provider portal.

The portal will open booking slots for future releases a week before the film opens in theatres, and theatres should only sell tickets through this portal, while multiplex chains can utilise third-party apps or portals. The service charge, or commission, is the major exception to these rules. A two percent service charge will be collected by the ap government for each ticket, and it will apply to third-party apps and web portals as well. The 2% commission would be an excellent source of money for the ap government.

The exact date of the web portal's launch is unknown, however the web portal's interface will be created based on these criteria. Previously, the ap government sought to limit ticket pricing for major films, but the problem was resolved when megastar chiranjeevi took the initiative and met with ap Chief minister YS jagan several times.
