Due to an increase in covid cases in maharashtra, the state government has reinstated the Covid limitations. Masks must be worn in public places except in open spaces, according to the new set of requirements. It is mandatory to wear a mask in enclosed public venues such as trains, buses, cinemas, auditoriums, offices, hospitals, colleges, and schools. The state's health department asked district and civic officials on friday to increase coronavirus testing since the quantity of samples being checked had decreased while the number of cases had increased.

Apart from the mask requirement, the maharashtra government has issued additional comprehensive rules today, mandating SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Infections) and fever surveillance. If people exhibit apparent symptoms, they should be tested for Covid-19. Social distancing, mask use, and sanitization must be communicated to the elderly on a regular basis.

If Covid instances continue to rise, vulnerable people must be informed about the risks they may face. Appropriate behaviour is required at all times. Around 1100 cases were reported in maharashtra on june 1, the highest number since february 24. We need to wait and see if other states are also bringing in the restrictions and closing the doors or not.
