On friday, the jagan Mohan reddy administration in andhra pradesh received a veritable kick in the pants about the installation of kurnool as the state's judicial capital. Union minister for Law and Justice kiran Rijiju responded to a question posed by ysr congress party MPs kotagiri sridhar from eluru and chinta anuradha from Amalapuram in the lok sabha on friday by saying that the Center had received the proposal from the andhra pradesh government on moving the high court from amaravati Kurnool.

"However, the decision must be made by the state administration alone after consulting with the state high court. The Centre will allow the move from amaravati to kurnool if the high court has no objections, the union minister said. But he said that in order to move the high court, the state government and the high court must concur, implying that the state and the federal government cannot make this decision alone.

"New proposals can only be submitted to the Center for processing if the government and the high court can come to an agreement. The entire cost of moving the high court to kurnool must be covered by the state government, according to Rijiju. The latest developments show that jagan Mohan reddy is determined to create three capitals at whatever cost. The chief minister is reportedly waiting for the current Chief Justice of India, N v Ramana, whose term is set to expire next month.
