The Y S jagan Mohan reddy administration is seeking for creative ways to raise additional funds for its welfare programmes as it struggles to do so. Officials at a high-level meeting called by the chief minister made many suggestions, one of which was that the government auction off vast supplies of red sanders kept by the state forest department. They informed him that over the previous three years, the police and forest officials had seized enormous quantities of red sanders that had accumulated with the forest department. They claimed that selling the equities at auction would bring the government hundreds of crores.

The officials informed jagan that in order to sell red sands globally, they needed clearance from the Center. They declared, "We will soon receive permissions from the centre on the red sanders." However, the chief minister advised them to use caution when securing the stock that was previously under the authority of the forest department and instructed them to regularly update the information and verify the stock. Similar to this, officials from the excise department informed the chief minister that there is a chance to boost alcohol sales revenue.

The tax department has already approved 840 more bars this year, which will bring in a sizable amount of money for the state. jagan gave the authorities orders to stop the production and distribution of illegal alcohol throughout the state. He claimed that women police were crucial in reducing the availability of illicit alcohol in communities and urged the government to create a standard operating procedure (SOP) that would take their example. The chief minister also looked into the prospect of increasing additional revenue from various other departments, including the department of forestry and mines.
