Oh My Kadavule's official remake is Ori Devuda by Vishwak Sen. The original film's director translated the tamil version into telugu and recreated it frame for frame. For those who haven't seen the original, Ori Devuda is a fantasy romance drama with a few heartwarming moments and some surprises. Ori Devuda, however, was given a second shot by supernatural intervention and was able to pull off the accomplishment and earn positive attention. This week saw the debut of another movie with a related idea, but it ended up being a patience-tester.

The treatment that failed the film Thank God, despite the concept being similar. Everything appeared artificial and out of hand because of the weak writing and the undeveloped characters. In Thank God, the imbalance between various genres was a spoilsport. Having said that, God's intervention in Ori Devuda was quite successful whereas in Thank God, it did nothing to improve the situation.
