Manobala, a veteran comedy actor and director, died on May 3, 2023, at the age of 69, as a result of liver-related health difficulties. manobala appeared in almost 450 films and was renowned for his comedic timing and diverse acting. In his more than four decades of acting, he appeared in films in tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, among other languages.

Manobala, a producer and director who had already undergone angiotherapy earlier in January, passed away today. He was reportedly brought to a hospital at the age of 69 owing to issues with his liver. Manobala, a well-known comic and character actor, last appeared in the tamil films Kondraal Paavam and Ghosty.

The 1982 movie Agaya Gangai marked Manobala's transition from assistant to director. manobala had previously worked with famed director Bharathiraja. He was the director of popular films like Pillai Nila, Mallu Vetti Minor, and Oorkavalan, which featured Rajinikanth. He rose to fame as a comedy actor in the early 2000s because of his wiry build and distinctive language delivery.


In films like Pithamagan, Ice, Chandramukhi, Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Thamizh Padam, alex Pandian, the Aranmanai trilogy, and Aambala, he contributed to notable humorous songs. He has acted in around 700 films. His work with renowned comedy actors like Vivekh, Vadivelu, and santhanam has been amusing.
