Officials revealed that they have launched an investigation into the fever in the affected area. According to them, the early season fever was recorded 20 km from the deceased's home. In May 2018, the first Nipah virus outbreak occurred in southern India. Then the first case was reported from kozhikode, Kerala. After that, about 17 people died from this virus. A nurse who was treating the patient also died. In 2021, many people died again due to the spread of Nipah virus in kozhikode district. A 12-year-old boy died of infection. According to the World health Organization, Nipah virus infection is a zoonotic disease. This means it is transmitted from animals to humans. The disease is spread through contaminated food or directly from person to person. people with this condition are susceptible to serious respiratory infections. High fever. WHO revealed that the mortality rate is about 70%. There is currently no vaccine for this virus.
 How is Nipah spread?
 This virus is spread through the saliva of fruit bats. This means that if someone eats  teeth bitten by these bats, this virus will enter the body.  Eating fruit bitten by an infected animal can also spread the virus.
Pigs infected with Nipah are also believed to be the main cause of the disease.
Even direct contact with  infected animals poses a risk of contracting the virus.
