Shruti Haasan has been enjoying the glory of her latest successful flick Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which stars prabhas and prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles and was directed by prasanth neel of kgf fame. According to reports, shruti haasan has replaced samantha Ruth Prabhu as the star in BAFTA winner Philip John's upcoming film, chennai Story.
According to previous rumors, samantha Ruth Prabhu has been cast as the film's star, and the announcement was made by the producers themselves, who included a photo of samantha and Philip. It was meant to be the actress' hollywood debut.

It appears that the creators have decided to go with shruti haasan as the female protagonist. It's undoubtedly a significant change in the film's cast. shruti haasan stated of her new part in a worldwide film like Chennai's narrative, "Hailing from chennai, a story showing the diversity and uniqueness of chennai is so special to me."

The film chennai Story is based on Timeri N. Murari's novel The Arrangements of love, written in 2004. The writer is most recognized for his screenplay work in the 1997 hindi film Daayraa, as well as for writing best-seller novels such as The Taliban cricket Club and Taj.

The Arrangements of love is a coming-of-age romantic comedy set in wales and India, with Haasan playing the crucial character of Anu, a lively private detective. The work is described as a search for lost and forgotten ties, with undertones of family drama, intrigue, and the American dream of an Indian.
