On the mahindra university (MU) campus here, a meteorological and air quality monitoring station was set up on Wednesday. It has surfaced in a joint venture involving MU, the US Consulate General in Hyderabad, the City university of New York (CUNY), and Bronx Community college (BCC). The station will supplement the data points being produced by the network of weather stations in india and elsewhere that have been set up as a component of this plan.

The AirLink air Quality Monitor and Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station are two examples of the equipment's cutting-edge technology. Temperature, humidity, wind direction, and speed, rainfall, sunlight, UV radiation, and AQI are all measured at the station.

The solar-powered station sends real-time data to apps such as the Davis WeatherLink smartphone app and IBM's Weather Underground Network. It will be a tool for MU faculty and students to use in their research and instruction to increase awareness and knowledge.

Dr. Yajulu Medury, vice chancellor of MU, praised the collaboration and underlined how important it is for advancing global cooperation and environmental sustainability.

Public Affairs Officer of the US Consulate in Hyderabad, Alexander McLaren, emphasized the value of international cooperation in addressing global environmental issues.

"The cooperation amongst Bronx Community college, mahindra university, and the US Consulate highlights the importance of international cooperation in tackling global environmental challenges." We are proud to back programs that promote scientific education and research," McLaren continued.
