An official stated on monday that the draft master plan for the Musi riverside development will be completed by the end of August. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari presided over the 24th board meeting of Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd. (MRDCL) at the Secretariat.
 

Attending the meeting were Dana Kishore, principal secretary for municipal administration and urban development; sudarshan Reddy, managing director of the hyderabad Metro Water Supply Board; Ronald Ross, commissioner of the Greater hyderabad Municipal Corporation; amrapali, managing director of MRDCL; board members; and other officials.
 
According to the Chief Secretary, the government is placing a high premium on the public-private partnership-based development of the Musi riverside.
 
She requested that the authorities identify specific initiatives that might be pursued to increase stakeholder and investor trust in the endeavor and spur economic growth in the region.
 

She gave the officials instructions to provide precise directives about the formation of expert and advisory panels. She also requested that the MRDCL's organizational structure be conceptualized.
 
In his brief project review, MRDCL MD amrapali stated that all project components, including feasibility reports, DPRs for all specified projects, concept master plans, etc., have set deadlines.
 
She stated that by the end of August, the draft master plan will be completed.
 

Numerous private actors are showing a strong interest in the initiative, according to Dana Kishore. The first phase of the project, which would develop the 55-kilometer stretch of the musi river from the downstream point of the Osmansagar Dam to the Outer Ring Road east near Gowrelli, and from the downstream point of the Himayatsagar Dam to the confluence point at Bapughat, was discussed by the board.
 
The board also decided to take into account the plan for the development, preservation, and conservation of historic buildings around the city's Musi River.
