Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, a debutante, is the director of the sports drama Lubber Pandhu. The lead actors in the movie are Attakathi Dinesh and Harish Kalyan. Sean Roldan is in charge of the soundtrack.  Competing in local events are talented cricket players Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh. A rivalry between the two about who is the better player starts, and as the drama grows, so does the rest of the narrative.

The cost of a rubber ball is well used to illustrate the chronology shift, which immediately raises confidence in the filmmaker's abilities. A typical "boys film" would limit these topics centered around cricket, but this one stands out since it has enough components to appeal to a wide range of viewers. The family drama layer is thicker than the ego conflict since that is where the fundamental link is found. The events and visual montages aid the humane feelings, which are handled mostly by the two characters' confidence in one another. The humane emotions work well. Though they are only briefly mentioned, gender politics and caste are significant topics in cricket because they take center stage at a pivotal point in the story.

The comedies consist of exuberant and humorous events, such as amusing arguments that transpire beyond the boundary line and continuous commentary during game circumstances. In the finale, every one of the stars gets their fair portion of screen time. Attakathi Dinesh has a moment to remember, and Harish Kalyan is an inspiration since he made a smart, creative choice. On the other hand, there are a lot of lip sync problems since it appears that many of the sentences were altered during the dubbing process.
 
The intensity of the face-off is brilliantly framed, and while it is understandable for the actors to soften their blow in the latter when the family background enters the frame, the effect is muted since those scenes lack novelty. Not to mention, the presentation of the cricket matches should have been improved, with more realistic-looking gameplay. However, the minor flaws don't affect the final outcome!
