Geraldine Viswanathan, an Australian actor, is a major player.  The upcoming superhero movie Thunderbolts will be the young actor's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is most renowned for her parts in Blockers and Bad Education.  Geraldine talks about her role and the internet's renewed interest in her in an interview with india Herald prior to the film's premiere.

Geraldine plays 'Mel' in the official promotional materials for the movie, a figure who is purportedly an assistant to Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.  But a lot of online detectives are certain that Mel is actually Melissa Joan Gold, a superhero from Marvel who also goes by Songbird.  Geraldine gives a politically correct response when questioned.  "I have very little to say.  However, I believe it's great that people are discussing Mel's future.  It's thrilling," she declares.

The internet thinks Geraldine stole the show at Thunderbolts' european premiere in london earlier this week, despite the fact that the movie's key stars walked the red carpet.  The actor has gained a lot of new followers as a result of her appearance on the red carpet wearing a black gown covered in sequins; many have dubbed her the new "LOML" (internet slang for "love of my life").  As we read some of the posts to Geraldine, she gasps, "I had no idea," and then flushes.  "This is flattering.  The actor is able to say, "I am blushing over that."

Thunderbolts, which centers on a group of outcasts attempting to thwart a larger threat, is the first antihero/villain-led movie in the MCU.  In addition to Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour, and Hannah John-Kamen, the picture was directed by Jake Schreier.  On May 1, it will be released in india, and on May 2, it will be released worldwide.
