In an homage to her late husband, the wife of a Navy officer murdered in the april 22 terror attack in kashmir called for peace and justice and urged people not to harm Muslims or Kashmiris. "We don't want Kashmiris and Muslims to be targeted.
At a blood donation clinic in Karnal, Haryana, where her husband, Lt. Vinay Narwal, was raised, Himanshi Narwal declared on thursday, "We want peace and only peace." thursday would have been the 27th birthday of the Naval officer who was shot dead while on his honeymoon in Pahalgam. "I just want the entire nation to pray for him, that wherever he is, he remains happy and in peace," she continued.

Himanshi, who had only been married a week before the incident, sobbed with her mother-in-law as they paid respects to Narwal with flowers.  She wept as she kissed his picture. "We desire justice and peace. "Those in charge ought to face consequences," she declared.

Terrorists opened fire on the Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam, in the anantnag district of south kashmir, killing 26 people, including Lt. Narwal. The majority of the victims were tourists. To remember the dead officer, the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA) organized a blood drive.  Residents and local authorities were among those who came to donate blood.

"I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who traveled great distances to give blood. "The response has been tremendous," said Shristi Narwal, Narwal's sister. "The government has also supported us." Jagmohan Anand, the Karnal bjp MLA, was also present.
