On May 9, the 35th anniversary of its original release, megastar Chiranjeevi's classic socio-fantasy drama jagadeka veerudu athiloka sundari will be re-released.  The film's producer, ashwini Dutt, long ago stated that he would like to see ram charan play the protagonist in a follow-up to this classic.  But for whatever reason, things didn't come to pass. 

Megastar chiranjeevi has now stated that he would like to create a follow-up in which Sridevi's daughter janhvi kapoor will play the heroine and ram charan would play the main character.  The director of the original version, K. raghavendra RAO' target='_blank' title='raghavendra rao-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>raghavendra rao, should serve as the project's direction supervisor, he continued, with nag ashwin occupying the director's chair.  He hoped that it would be produced by ashwini Dutt's daughters, priyanka and swapna Dutt, under the vyjayanthi Films label. 

It's difficult to come up with a follow-up to a timeless masterpiece like JVAS.  To surpass its legacy, the story must be superior to the original.  The story and script should be superior to the original, but we have all the technical skill to surpass the technicalities of the original.  Swapna and priyanka might make the movie without hesitation once they discover such a story.
 
Given Chiranjeevi's declaration of desire, it remains to be seen if raghavendra RAO' target='_blank' title='raghavendra rao-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>raghavendra rao or nag ashwin will develop the ideal plot for the JVAS sequel.  It would be one of the most anticipated movies in telugu cinema if all goes according to plan.
