A Bengaluru woman claims that on april 25, she was surreptitiously filmed in the women's restroom at the koramangala location of anand Sweets & Savouries.  She described finding a concealed cell phone under wooden and fiberglass plates close to the toilet in a thorough video that was posted online.  The fact that the device seemed to move suggested that it was actively recording.  The woman confronted the staff after warning her companion.  The management first hesitated before watching CCTV footage that showed a security officer entering a restricted location and then another employee exiting the building.

After calling the police, the accused—a technician for a third-party agency—was taken into custody around 9:10 p.m.  He later admitted his role, despite his earlier denials.  The woman said that despite her experience, representatives and employees tried to minimize the incident and put pressure on her to avoid going to court.  She criticized the administration in her FIR for neglecting her pain and assigning blame to a contractor.

Later, anand Sweets released a statement denouncing the conduct and stating that the accused was a contracted technician rather than a direct employee.  In addition to announcing new safety procedures, such as hiring female supervisors and restroom attendants and conducting daily inspections, the corporation pledged complete cooperation with the investigation.  In online communities, the incident has provoked intense criticism, with many demanding stringent measures and casting doubt on the company's internal security measures.  Bengaluru police are being urged by concerned residents to make sure that the issue is not dismissed and that the greatest level of accountability is achieved.
