Fans are beginning to speculate that nagarjuna could be the antagonist in Jailer 2, which stars Rajinikanth.  Reactions to this outlandish rumor have been conflicting.  One of the main reasons is that nagarjuna has already starred in another Rajini film, Coolie.  It can be considered a dangerous move to work on consecutive movies with the same actor, particularly as nagarjuna gets closer to his 100th picture.

Nagarjuna has tended more toward cameos than standalone starring parts in recent years.  He does not portray heroic roles in Coolie or Kubera.  Some supporters are concerned that if he plays the lead antagonist in Jailer 2, it would further remove him from successful solo endeavors.

Many others, meanwhile, believe this might mark a turning point in his career.  Playing a villain in Jailer 2 might get famous.  There will always be hero roles available, but he should take advantage of the unique chance to play a villain in such a widely anticipated sequel. Other Akkineni actors, however, are becoming more active.  Sumanth is gaining recognition with Anaganaga, akhil is apparently headed for success with Lenin, and naga chaitanya has Thandel.  It would be a great occasion for Akkineni fans if nagarjuna made a strong comeback with a powerful solo picture.

Nelson Dilipkumar, the director of Jailer 2, is renowned for creating brutal, ferocious adversaries.  In contrast to his typical persona, Nagarjuna's villain portrayal is probably going to be gritty and grim.  Insiders claim that Coolie's distinctive, potent "Rolex-style" characterization is the reason he took the part.  Fans were thrilled only with the preview.  At this point in his career, playing a villain in a popular show like Jailer 2 may be a brilliant move—or a risk—especially because his 100th movie is coming up and he still has bigg boss 9 responsibilities. But for now, it's just conjecture.

Fans will first see him in Kubera.  Nagarjuna is believed to have a significant role, even though dhanush plays the lead.  We'll see how that influences his next professional step.
