In response to tamil actor Kamal Haasan's divisive comments on the kannada language, Shivrajkumar has finally spoken up. He emphasized that love for kannada should be a continuous presence rather than something that just manifests when someone makes a speech. Shivrajkumar attended a recent pre-release function for Kamal Haasan's movie Thug Life in chennai as the main guest.

Kamal Haasan caused a great deal of controversy when he claimed during his address that "Kannada was born from Tamil." Shivrajkumar had not spoken up until now, despite the fact that many people had discussed and argued the statement.  He eventually spoke his opinions on wednesday night (May 28) during an event.

"Kamal Haasan has a lot of respect for kannada," Shivrajkumar stated.  He has a deep affection for Kannada.  He has even appeared in kannada motion pictures.  He talks highly about kannada whenever he visits Bengaluru.  I watched him grow up.  I like him.  Given the presence of my father, Dr. Rajkumar, some could question why I am a fan.  Although he holds a different role, my father is family. However, I have a different place in my heart for Kamal Haasan.  I've been greatly influenced by him.  My favorite actor is him.  I have no doubt that he is aware of all of this and will react appropriately if he feels compelled to.

"Love for kannada should not only arise when someone makes a remark," Shivrajkumar emphasized further.  It ought to remain steady.  He treated me with respect while I was a guest at his function.  What transpired after that is unknown to me.  It was a major problem when I got back here.  Later, he visited Bengaluru and addressed everyone.  I'm not sure why, but he may have been questioned about it here.  The heart should always be filled with love for Kannada.  Even if it means dying, we have to fight for Kannada.  It's not important to focus only on talking or posing for pictures.
