The political battle between Eknath Shinde and uddhav thackeray faction has intensified once again in Maharashtra. The Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) minister was targeted after a viral video allegedly showed him performing some rituals with a 'Mantrik' (Witch Doctor). Vasant More of shiv sena (UBT) and Suraj Chavan of ncp mocked the shiv sena minister. ncp and shiv sena are part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance in the state.

Suraj Chavan said, "Maharashtra is a progressive state and Gogavale should trust the Mahayuti leadership." Both shiv sena and ncp are vying for the post of patron minister of Raigad.

On the other hand, reacting to his viral video, Gogavale described himself as a 'Hindutvawadi' and said that he believes in God. minister Bharat Gogavale, while clarifying, took a dig at the leader of the opposition party and said, "We had visited a religious place in Indore. During this, havan and puja were performed." He said that if Vasant More thought that I became an mla and then a minister after performing puja, he should have told me. I would have taken him with me so that his deposit would not have been forfeited in the assembly elections. Along with this, the leader of the Shinde faction further said that he is being targeted because he spoke the truth about the split in the original party.
