M3GAN 2.0, the eagerly anticipated follow-up to the popular horror-thriller film, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, june 27. Through the eyes of an AI doll, the movie will once more explore our complicated connection with technology and parenthood. The first movie was an unexpected success, generating TikTok videos and parodies as well as conversations about the potentially evil intent of smart speakers. The original cast members will return in the sequel. Allison Williams and Violet McGraw return as Gemma and Cady, respectively, while Amie Donald and Jenna Davis will return as M3GAN. Jen Van Epps, Arlo Sakhno, Brian jordan Alvarez, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement are among the other cast members who are returning. Screenwriter Akela Cooper is writing the script, while director Gerard Johnstone is also returning to the helm.  

M3GAN 2.0, which takes place two years after the events of the original movie, will see Cady mature into a disobedient adolescent and Gemma working as a celebrity AI watchdog. The storyline changes when Amelia, a military-grade AI assassin, is created using M3GAN's original technology, which has been stolen. Unexpectedly, Cady and Gemma resolve to defeat this new threat by bringing back their rogue robot. An titanic showdown is promised in the sequel.
