Before The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters later this month, Marvel Studios is preparing to launch the film's final major marketing campaign. Marvel's First Family has now gathered on people Magazine's cover. As you can see, this is an in-universe feature, and based on what we understand, Reed, Sue, Ben, and johnny won't be interviewed for a piece in the issue.

However, there is a commercial for H.E.R.B.I.E., a robot that we are familiar with that was created by mister Fantastic with the entire world in mind.  One description of the team's recognizable mascot/sidekick is that it is "your loyal companion, tactical consultant, and emergency babysitter rolled into one floating mechanical genius."

"From helping with homework to planning interdimensional travel itineraries (or just grocery lists), H.E.R.B.I.E. is always plugged in and ready," it states.

But the fact that he has an early warning system called "Doom Detection" is what most people are interested in.  Does that prove that doctor Doom is real and a constant menace to the people of New York, or is it just a humorous easter Egg for fans?

Although it's unclear if Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor is from this universe, we'd lean more toward the former.

Filmmaker Matt Shakman has previously stated, "Doom is not a part of my film, and therefore not a part of my purview,"  "Doom is a great character, but he takes up a lot of air," he would remark in a different interview.  Other movie adaptations have included both Doom and an origin narrative.  We can view them differently because we're not performing any of those things."

Even though he has been concentrating on Galactus, The Fantastic Four: First Steps must have at least one allusion to doctor Doom. Regardless of whether he has previously interacted with this crew, if he is being saved for a post-credits scene, it was probably filmed on the set of Avengers: Doomsday by the Russo Brothers.
