Sudarshan reddy received only 300 votes.


A total of 14 MPs cross-voted, aiding Radhakrishnan’s win.


The required majority was 377 votes, and Radhakrishnan won by a margin of 75 votes.

781 out of 788 eligible MPs were part of the electoral college (543 lok sabha + 245 Rajya Sabha).


767 MPs cast votes (98.2% turnout).


15 votes were declared invalid, and 1 postal vote was cancelled.

The final valid votes stood at 752.

IndiaĀ bloc had 324 members, but reddy got only 300 votes.


The 14 cross-votes and 10 likely invalid opposition votes suggest internal cracks.


BJP’s nda was expected to get 427 votes, plus support from 11 YSRCP MPs, totaling 438.


With 14 extra votes from the opposition, Radhakrishnan reached 452.



🚫 Abstentions and Invalid Votes


13Ā MPs abstained, including from BJD, BRS, Akali Dal, and one Independent.


1 postal vote was rejected as the mp refused to vote.


Abstentions and invalid votes played a key role in lowering the victory threshold.
