Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. stalin today (February 5, 2026) inaugurated 183 completed project works implemented at a total cost of ₹3,511.13 crore and laid the foundation stone for 10 new development projects estimated at ₹1,267.62 crore. The event was held at the State secretariat in Chennai.
The projects were executed under the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, with the aim of strengthening urban infrastructure and improving civic amenities across the state. These initiatives are expected to significantly enhance public services and contribute to sustainable urban development.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister stated that the completed projects would benefit lakhs of people by improving essential facilities such as drinking water supply, roads, drainage systems, sanitation services, and public infrastructure in urban and semi-urban areas. He also emphasized that the newly launched projects would further accelerate development and address the growing needs of municipalities and corporations.
Senior ministers, government officials, and department heads were present during the ceremony. The chief minister reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and instructed officials to ensure timely completion of the new projects while maintaining quality and transparency.
The tamil Nadu government continues to prioritize infrastructure development as a key component of its governance agenda, aiming to enhance the quality of life for citizens through improved urban services and long-term planning.
