Stock market veteran Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has reduced his stake in Mumbai-headquartered Aptech. His wife rekha Jhunjhunwala has also reduced her stake in Aptech in the march quarter. Let us tell you that Rakesh Jhunjhunwala handles the portfolio of both himself and his wife.As per the latest shareholding pattern released by the company, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala held 5,094,100 equity shares or 12.32 per cent stake in Aptech at the end of march quarter. In the previous quarter, he had 12.34 per cent stake. In this way, in the march quarter, he has reduced his stake by 0.02 per cent in Aptech.
Meanwhile, his wife rekha Jhunjhunwala held 4,574,740 equity shares or 11.06 per cent of the company's shares at the end of march quarter, compared to 11.09 per cent in the previous quarter. In this way, rekha Jhunjhunwala has reduced 0.03 percent stake in Aptech in the march quarter. 
The two together, together held 23.38 per cent stake in the company at the end of march quarter and they combined have reduced their stake by 0.05 per cent from the previous quarter. The Jhunjhunwala couple had invested in Aptech in december 2015. Let us inform that Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has also invested in Aptech through his firm Rare Equity and at the end of march quarter it held 20.42 per cent stake or 84,43,472 equity shares in the company. According to Trendline data, the total value of Rakesh and his wife rekha Jhunjhunwala's investment in Aptech is Rs 350 crore. This does not include investments made in Aptech through rare equity.
On april 13, Aptech's shares closed at Rs 358.70 with a gain of 0.46 per cent on the BSE and the company's market valuation was around Rs 1,483.05 crore. Aptech shares touched a new 52-week high of Rs 447.95 in January. However, the stock continues to decline after that. Aptech's share price has fallen 16 per cent so far in 2022. However, if we talk about the performance of the last one year, Aptech has given a solid return of 76 per cent to its investors in the last one year.
