South indian Mutton Soup Recipe

Substances:

250g mutton with bone (preferably ribs or neck portions)


1 medium onion, chopped


1 small tomato, chopped


1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste


1/2 tsp turmeric powder


1 tsp black pepper (coarsely crushed)


1 tsp cumin seeds


1 tsp fennel seeds


1–2 inexperienced chilies, slit


Few curry leaves


1 tbsp coriander leaves (for garnish)


1 tbsp oil or ghee


Salt to flavor


4 cups water

Prepare the Mutton:

Wash the mutton portions very well and set aside. Use bone-in pieces for richer taste.


Sauté the Spices:

Heat oil or ghee in a stress cooker or pot. Upload cumin seeds, fennel seeds, and curry leaves. Allow them to splutter.
