Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. stalin has strongly challenged AIADMK leader and former chief minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), daring him to publicly release a detailed list of achievements from his tenure in office. stalin made this statement while highlighting what he described as the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government’s significant accomplishments since coming to power.
Addressing a public gathering, stalin questioned the credibility of the opposition’s criticism and said that instead of making vague allegations, Edappadi Palaniswami should have the courage to present concrete data on what his government delivered for the people of tamil Nadu. stalin asserted that the people are capable of judging governance based on facts, performance, and outcomes—not political rhetoric.
The chief minister went on to list several initiatives and reforms introduced by the DMK government, claiming that tamil Nadu has emerged as a leading state in india across multiple sectors. He emphasized achievements in social justice, education, healthcare, industrial growth, women’s welfare, and financial management. According to stalin, tamil Nadu has set benchmarks for other states and has become a “model state” in terms of inclusive development and administrative efficiency.
Stalin also accused the previous AIADMK regime of failing to protect the interests of tamil Nadu and alleged that it functioned without autonomy, yielding to pressure from the central government. In contrast, he said the current DMK government stands firm in defending state rights and federal principles while ensuring rapid development.
Highlighting national rankings and economic indicators, stalin claimed that tamil Nadu today occupies a top position in attracting investments, generating employment, and implementing welfare schemes effectively. He expressed pride in stating that tamil Nadu has become a leader—“a king among states”—in development and governance across India.
The remarks come amid intensifying political exchanges between the ruling DMK and the opposition AIADMK, as both parties prepare for upcoming elections. Stalin’s challenge underscores the DMK’s strategy of positioning its governance record as the core of its political campaign, while putting pressure on the opposition to defend its past performance with evidence.
