Bihar has been placed on high alert after intelligence inputs confirmed that three Pakistan-based terrorists infiltrated the state through Nepal.

According to officials, the men — identified as Hasnain ali from Rawalpindi, adil hussain from Umerkot, and Mohd Usman from Bahawalpur — reportedly arrived in Kathmandu in the second week of August before slipping into bihar across the porous Indo-Nepal border last week.

The revelation has triggered serious alarm, especially since bihar is poll-bound, raising fears of possible attempts to disrupt the state’s fragile security environment during elections.

Police sources say extensive patrolling has been initiated across border districts, while security at railway stations, bus terminals, religious places, and government offices has been tightened. A coordinated effort with intelligence agencies is underway to track down the movement of these operatives.

The Indo-Nepal border, known for its open and lightly monitored crossing points, has long been flagged as a security vulnerability. The latest incident underscores how terror networks exploit these weak spots to slip into India, particularly during politically sensitive periods.

Top police officials have urged the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious movements. “No possibility can be ruled out. The timing is highly sensitive, and we are treating the threat as extremely serious,” a senior officer stated.

With memories of past terror incidents still haunting the nation, the entry of foreign terrorists into bihar is a grave concern. Whether their mission is targeted violence, sabotage, or election-time disruption remains unclear, but one thing is certain: bihar is now at the center of a tense security watch.
