Candidates whose numbers appear in the list are now eligible for the Personality Test (Interview), the final stage of the IFS selection process.

Personality Test (Interview) – What’s Next

The Commission has confirmed that the Personality Test (Interview) will be conducted at the UPSC office in Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New delhi – 110069. However, the detailed schedule for the interview dates has not yet been announced. UPSC will soon release the timetable and related instructions on its website, and e‑call letters (interview admit letters) will be made available for download. Candidates are advised to regularly check upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in for updates.

Important Instructions for Shortlisted Candidates

  • Candidates must carry original documents at the time of the interview, including proof of age, educational qualification, category certificates (if applicable), EWS/PwBD certificates, and other required certificates such as the TA form.
  • All shortlisted candidates are also required to update or fill their Detailed application Form (DAF/OAF) with accurate educational and personal details in the portal as instructed. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of candidature and prevent issuance of the e‑summon letter.

What Happens After the Interview

Once the Personality Test is completed, UPSC will prepare the final merit list by combining marks obtained in the Mains written exam and the Personality Test. The final list determines successful candidates who will be recommended for appointment to the Indian Forest Service cadre.
