Yesterday, prime minister Narendra Modi applauded the film as well. "In recent days, everyone who has hoisted the banner of freedom of expression has been offended. There is propaganda to demonise cinema instead of analysing it on the basis of facts and aesthetics "he exclaimed

I believe it is in the interest of the country to bring out the truth in the right way. It can have many facets. Some see one thing, others see something else. He added that the reactions to the films were coming from people who had been deliberately trying to hide the truth for years.
