Even three weeks after its release, kgf Chapter:2 is still on a tear at the box office. The hindi version of the film, in particular, is doing exceptionally well in North India. It is the second hindi film to gross more than Rs. 401 crore at the box office. Baahubali 2 is currently in first place, with a lifetime gross of roughly Rs. 512 crores. Both of these films are dubbed from South indian films.

Dangal, a pure hindi film, is in third place with Rs. 389 crores in total earnings. dangal was crossed by kgf 2 in just three weeks. To beat Baahubali 2's hindi version's record, it needs to raise another 100 crores. We'll have to wait and see if the movie can pull it off in the following days.

KGF's friday collections dropped due to the premiere of hollywood blockbuster doctor Strange. We'll have to wait and watch if the Marvel film may hurt kgf 2's box office in the coming days. kgf 2 has so far grossed more than Rs. 1100 crores worldwide. After Baahubali 2, dangal, and RRR, it is the fourth indian film to reach the $1 billion mark.
