One of the year's most talked-about hindi films is The kashmir Files. While the majority of people praised it as a realistic depiction of the 1990s Hindu migration from the kashmir valleys, some critics have referred to it as "propaganda and vulgar" because they feel that the vivek Agnihotri-directed film takes advantage of the suffering of the Kashmiri Pandits.

Veteran director Saeed Akhtar mirza recently referred to the gritty political drama as "trash," and now vivek Agnihotri has responded to the same. The filmmaker tweeted about sharing a news article on mirza praising his movie: "Salam, Maine kaha mirza sahab. Janaab, the #DelhiFiles ke baad is first. 2024."

The Tashkent Files director posted a quote of himself and the following: "They spent their entire careers making movies about Muslim victimisation, which is something I never wanted to express, but I believe the moment has come to do so. A genre known as "Muslim Social" only exists in India. These folks became wealthy and well-known thanks to Hinduism. Bollywood, meanwhile, is ungrateful and has little sympathy for Hindus."

Speaking to The indian Express earlier, Saeed stated: "The kashmir Files is trash in my opinion. The Kashmiri Pandit issue is it unimportant? Not at all, no. It's true. Is it just Hindus in Kashmir? No. The intrigues of intelligence agencies, countries with purported national interests, and paid individuals from across the border, who continue to wreak havoc, have Muslims trapped in a very disgusting trap as well. Not picking sides is the point. Try to comprehend and be human."
