Yes, even before this, films named 'Gumrah' have been made. But I have not seen even one of these. I rarely watch movies. mahesh bhatt made 'Gumrah' with sanjay dutt and Sridevi. BR Chopra also made 'Gumrah' and another 'Gumrah' came in 76 starring Subhash Ghai. Our 'Gumrah' is a crime thriller film. I am playing a double role for the first time in this film and I am very excited about it.

Your grandfather Raghupat Roy Kapur was a filmmaker, so can you say that all three of your brothers inherited cinema?

Grandfather had come here from Lahore, and made three or four films but they did not work. daddy Kumud Roy Kapur's trends have never been like films. We ie siddharth Roy Kapur, karan Roy Kapur, and I grew up in different spheres of the entertainment industry. I became a VJ in Channel v as an amateur. karan also made his acting debut with the tv serial 'Just Mohabbat'. Elder brother siddharth also joined Pahal tv for the first time.

By the way, do you dream of becoming a cricketer?

Yes, I played a lot of cricket in my childhood. But once he became a VJ, all that was gone. But we still play a lot of cricket while shooting. Akshay sir will not like to read this, but during the shooting of the film 'Action Replay', when we were playing cricket, akshay kumar got clean bowled on my very first ball. Then he took his revenge by hitting me for a six in the second innings.

How did you get your first break in films?

While working in Channel v, I used to get calls for auditions a lot. I usually didn't go to them. Then one day I felt that people are calling, so I should go and see. That day the audition for vipul Shah's film 'London Dreams' was going on. The shooting was to be done in london and I was also selected. After this, films like 'Action Replayy' and 'Guzaarish' became my acting school.

And you topped in the film 'Aashiqui 2'.

'Aashiqui 2' changed the lives of all of us, be it Shraddha Kapoor or the film's director Mohit Suri. For the first time, I got a chance to play a lead role and romance with a heroine. This film has been one of the most successful films of my career. After this, he got a chance to work in the film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and the car started moving.

But, in 'Rashtra Kavach Om' you completely changed your romantic image, any specific reason for this?

I take every character as a challenge. When I did action in the film 'Malang', I enjoyed it a lot and then I thought that I have to do action further. That's why I said yes as soon as the proposal of 'Rashtra Kavach Om' came. If you want to know my favorite cinema, I love action movies and gray characters. This is such a color between black and white in people who love and hate the character.
