Bollywood's filmmaker Aanand L. Rai said "Tanu Weds Manu was his first hit," as he tells that the franchise's third instalment is on its way. The film is close to Rai and so is the lead actor, Kangana Ranaut. "Kangana and he enjoyed working on Tanu Weds Manu. We shared a great rapport. After she wrapped up Raanjhanaa and she finished Queen, they came together for Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
Moreover he points out that when they got together for the second instalment, four years after the first film hit screens, they had changed as individuals. "He was looking for Kangana and she wasn't there. Her loyalty was with the actor inside her; He wasn't taking the film as seriously as she was."
Meanwhile rumor had it that the third installment of
the movie couldn't take off because of a fallout between Ranaut and Rai. The
filmmaker rubbishes the reports. "What fallout? Once he is done with Shah
Rukh Khan's film and we will start working on the script for the third
part."
