'Pushpa' is an upcoming telugu action thriller movie written and directed by Sukumar. The movie is funded by naveen Yerneni and Y. ravi shankar of Mythri movie Makers banner along with Muttamsetty Media. allu arjun essays the lead role while rashmika mandanna does the female lead role. jagapathi babu, prakash raj, Dhananjay, and sunil are part of the supporting cast. devi sri prasad has composed tunes.


The technical team involves Miroslaw Kuba Brozek for Cinematography and Karthika srinivas for editing. Fahadh Faasil is doing the role of antagonist in this movie.  The movie is a Pan-India film and it was initially scheduled to release on august 13, 2021. But due to the ongoing COVID crisis just like other biggies, the delay was inevitable and the makers even planned to release the movie in two parts.


'Baahubali' first part got a huge success and the second part garnered an unprecedented buzz due to the trending question, "Why Kattapa Killed Baahubali?". director sukumar is now trying to compose a similar ending and climax to the first part of 'Pushpa' and the director is keen to end the first installment on a high to ensure the audience is badly anticipating the sequel. The director is discussing the same with his writing department.
