In a dramatic latest leaked video from The Batman, the Riddler attacks a funeral and delivers a message to the Titular Hero. Similar to Frank Miller's iconic comic Batman: Year One, Matt Reeves' next revamp will focus on Robert Pattinson's Batman's formative days. The Batman will put Bruce Wayne against renowned criminals from his rogues' band, featuring john Turturro's Carmine Falcone, Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman/Selina Kyle.  Edward Naston/The Riddler, played by Paul Dano, will indeed be Batman's major enemy (Paul Dano).



The Riddler is a serial murderer who prowls Gotham City, tying sellotape around his captives' skulls and laying hints for Batman in the grim and realistic universe of The Batman. Mayor Don Mitchell Jr., who appears to have been assassinated in his house and whose remains were found with "No More Lies" inscribed on his face, is one of Riddler's victims, as seen in the movie's promos. The funeral that follows will be depicted in The Batman, and it will provide the Riddler with yet another excuse to wreck havoc on the citizens of Gotham.

The Riddler's penchant for puzzles has always led to the greatest enigma of all: the Dark Knight's true identity. The above footage, like many of The Batman's earlier hints, suggests that Dano's Riddler obviously recognizes Bruce Wayne is Batman, or at the very least discovers it early in the film. There are also clues that the film may go into the Wayne family's role in Gotham's criminality, which the Riddler intends to weed out.
