Knives Out 2, the much awaited sequel from Rian Johnson, is set to premiere on Netflix in 2022. Knives Out, the writer/follow-up director's to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, was one of the year's biggest surprises. With the celebrity status of daniel craig, chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and others, the first whodunnit won excellent reviews and went on to gross more than $300 million records worldwide. Johnson was nominated for an Academy Award for his original script and began work on a successor almost instantly.


Knives Out 2's development was predicted, but Johnson surprised everyone when he relocated the series to Netflix as part of a settlement to develop and direct two successors. daniel craig reprises his role as Inspector Benoit Blanc in Knives Out 2, but he's accompanied by a completely new cast of characters. Ethan Hawke, Dave Bautista, Jessica Henwick, are among the cast members that could be suspects in a new murder in the followup. The plot of Knives Out 2 was kept a secret throughout shooting, which ended in september 2021.


Knives Out 2 has a lot of buzz, and Variety says that it will be released in cinemas and on Netflix in the fall of 2022. At this point, no official launch date has been determined, however Netflix is rumoured to be preparing a festival premiere. The Netflix release schedule for Knives Out 2 indicates that the streaming company sees Johnson's eagerly anticipated followup as a likely oscar candidate.
