When they competed with each other in fourth season of bigg boss telugu edition, akhil Sarthaak and Monal Gajjaar formed a close bond. Many people mistakenly believed they were in romance. Nevertheless, since leaving the house, none of them has spoken about their emotional status. akhil is now a member of bigg boss Non Stop, an exclusive OTT edition of the series. 

Ex-housemates were recently assigned the responsibility of explaining the faults they made in their prior season that they wish to correct in this series. akhil admitted that he didn't grin much throughout his prior season and that he intends to do it more this year. Other residents, however, questioned whether his intimate connection with Monal was authentic or staged to boost TRP numbers. In response, akhil stated that he and Monal built a true friendship.

He went on to say that they still communicate on the telephone and visit on a regular basis. He added that their connection is more than friendship and that he will not label it as "romance." He expressed his personal status with Monal in this way. He openly admitted that he got closer to Monal and was in a relationship even after stepping out of the BB house and they were in touch regularly at several instances.
