The film was released in 1992. After that Vijay had taken the lead role in Chandra Prakash's film 'Thalaiva'. The film received mixed reviews and many issues circulated around the film. producer Chandra Prakash Jain has praised actor Vijay for playing the lead role in the film. Speaking in an interview, he said that Vijay's cooperation in the Thalaiva film was very good. He added saying that he had never seen a hero like Vijay. He had never really seen an actor like this in his life. The shooting will take place on Sunday. Usually, if the shooting starts at 6 p.m., his son will get the call stating that Vijay has arrived at the shooting spot at 4.30 p.m. itself. Chandra Prakash wonders why he came to the shooting spot so soon. Actor Vijay was not even late once in his career he said. Chandra Prakash thanked Thalapathy very much after the shooting. Chandra Prakash said that he is really obsessed with Vijay and he is like a brother to him always.
