At a time when India's favourite city, hyderabad, is rocked by yet another rape episode, this time involving the sons of influential leaders from the ruling class, a film with the same issue is horrifying and squeezing fans' hearts. "Jana Gana Mana," directed by Dijo Jose Antony and starring prithviraj and Suraj, is the film in question.

According to reports, "Jana Gana Mana" is about a rape and murder case that becomes sensationalised owing to the victim's faith, and how politicians exploit it by giving "quick justice" to the criminals and wooing the vote banks. While the first half focuses on everyone, including students, victims' families, and others, the second half is a courtroom play that demonstrates how the media promotes victims and renders verdicts before the honourable courts.

Despite the fact that the film is only available in malayalam with english subtitles, the film's subject has become a hot issue on social media. The police in hyderabad killed four people in a 'encounter' in connection with the Disha tragedy, and a court recently ruled that it was a staged encounter. And, according to the video, the ruling government's minister is behind this sham because he believes that executing rapists will make people forget about all the scams and vote for them in the next election.

Those who have seen the video are terrified and dumbfounded, and they wonder what would truly happen in this era of student politics, where people are still subjugated to casteist divisions, police work for the upliftment of scammer politicians, and even the court systems mock the underprivileged.
