
Script matters more than money for ayushmann khurrana, who turned down blank checks for 3 films, said- “Saraswati comes before lakshmi for me”
Bollywood actor ayushmann khurrana is known for doing out-of-the-box films. ayushmann khurrana, who has done films on taboo subjects or say taboo subjects, has given many hits in his film career. And now Ayushmann is once again coming up with one such social comedy-drama doctor Ji in which he is playing the role of a gynecologist.
Recently, in connection with the promotion of his upcoming film doctor Ji, Ayushmann had an exclusive conversation with bollywood Hungama in which he told that the script matters more to him than the money.
During the interview, Ayushmann told that once a producer gave him a blank check for three films. But he did not accept it. During the interview, when Ayushmann was asked, how difficult is it to reject a film when the offer is good but the script is not that good.
In response, Ayushmann said, "I remember a producer gave me a blank check and said, 'Take all the money you want, do three pictures with us.' Then I asked them about the story, script, and subject of those films. When I asked, he said that he would keep writing. I said, for me, Saraswati comes before Lakshmi. I have got offers that I can't even expect but scripts have always been very important to me.”
Ayushmann further added that “I have worked with first-time directors by relying on the script. Many of my films also proved to be hit. Many people even asked me why First Time is working with directors. But I trust the script. My entire career is based on risk. So if I stop taking risks, I will be finished."
Coming to doctor Ji is a medical campus comedy-drama that will also feature rakul preet singh, and shefali shah in pivotal roles along with Ayushmann. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and written by sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, vishal Wagh, and Anubhuti Kashyap, doctor Ji is slated to release in cinemas on october 14.
