Recently, the two blockbuster movies that generated a lot of buzz before their releases but fell short of the expectations were Maniratnam's "Ponniyan Selvan 1" in tamil and the hindi blockbuster "Brahmastra." Although both movies did rather well in their respective home countries, they failed to impress audiences elsewhere. Due to a lack of outstanding visual effects and drama, both films, particularly in the telugu circuits, were neglected by the audience.

According to reports, starting on november 4th, Diseny+Hotsar and amazon Prime Video will both be streaming Brahmastra and PS1. The point is that while ranbir kapoor has shot a few fresh ads to advertise Brahmastra's launch on OTT, the Ponniyan Selvan 1 crew hasn't made much noise over the film's OTT release. Although it is puzzling why PS1 doesn't give Brahmastra any consideration, that is what transpired.

Both Brahmastra and PS1 were profitable endeavours for the producers while they prepared Part 2 of the respective movies, with overall losses of just 30%. Distributors have, however, lost a sizable sum of money outside of their home markets, which surprised even industry experts. Then again, Disney might be pushing Brahmastra because it is their production, whereas amazon isn't doing anything to promote PS1 because they already know that people will watch the movie given that people outside of tamil Nadu want to see it now on OTT.
