Sonal Chauhan has made an appearance in the eagerly awaited movie Adipurush. She disappointed both her fans and the audience with a mediocre performance in the film. In Adipurush, Sonal played the role of Mandodhari, Ravan's wife. Many believed Sonal would play a prominent role in the movie because of Mandodhari's significance in the epic Ramayana.

To everyone's amazement, Sonal only appeared in two scenes out of the three that made up the three-hour film. She hardly had any dialogue during these brief appearances. Mandodhari's role was reduced in the modernised rendition of the Ramayana by director Om Raut. It was clear that the audience was disappointed because they had anticipated Sonal to have a bigger role in the movie. Many thought she should have had a few more scenes to show off her skills. Sonal's noticeable absence from the movie's promotional events, which further raised doubts about her part in Adipurush, added to the disappointment.

It's interesting to note that reports have surfaced revealing Sonal Chauhan's astonishing Rs 50 lakhs compensation for the movie. Many people find it difficult to justify such a large remuneration for her small participation given her scant screen time and dialogue.
