With his superb comic timing, actor govinda ruled the big screen in blockbusters like hero No. 1, Coolie No. 1, Haseena Maan Jayegi, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, among others. Fans adored and praised his smouldering chemistry with karisma kapoor and Raveena Tandon. govinda, however, has declared madhuri dixit to be his "favourite" co-star.

Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja participated in a rapid-fire game in which Sunita was asked to identify her husband's favourite co-star. She called out madhuri dixit right away, but govinda responded with madhuri and Rekha. govinda, who has collaborated with madhuri on projects like as Maha-Sangram, Izzatdar, and Paap Ka Ant, chimed in, "Sunita nahi hoti toh pakka maine dore madhuri ji pe daale hote (Had Sunita not been there, I would have definitely hit on Madhuri)." When asked how she felt about Govinda's remark, Sunita responded, "I would have not known him also that time."

Sunita was asked to identify Govinda's preferred performance in another query. govinda responded, "Hatya, Haseena Maan Jayegi, and Swarg," after guessing Hatya. Later, he claimed, "My finest performance was in Haseena Maan Jayegi. Wo mujhe isiliye lagta hai ki mujhe role acha nahi milta. I feel that way because the role that was assigned to me was not a lovely one. Jo character hai, wo on the set taiyyar hua tha. On the set, that character got ready.

Along with Raveena Tandon, karisma kapoor, Juhi Chawla, and Madhuri, govinda had nothing but admiration for his female co-stars. The actor added of them, "Kitne saal ka career hai in logon ka. They are incredibly lovely, and a person with inner beauty never runs out of it. You can observe that these individuals are unchanged from before.
