The popularity of South indian cinema is growing, and its stars are attracting the interest of hindi viewers and even breaking into Bollywood. Their demands for greater pay scales are growing along with their fame. Actresses from the South are no different, and the level of rivalry in this field is unprecedented. Payroll changes in recent times for samantha, trisha, and Nayanthara are unmistakable signs of this growing tendency.

Highest Paid Actresses

Nayanthara was originally acclaimed for being the highest paid female celebrity, receiving between Rs 10 and Rs 11 crore for her parts, and for being the first actress from the South to receive a two-figure wage (in crores). But according to recent reports, trisha krishnan is now claiming the distinction of being the highest-paid actress in the South, which surprised no one. She outbid Nayanthara by requesting an incredible Rs 12 crore for her upcoming film with acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam.

According to a report from Track Tollywood, Nayanthara, who has amassed a sizable fan base in bollywood, is now requesting an astounding 12–13 crores for each film, and producers are reportedly eager to pay her requests in order to equal Trisha's remarkable sum.

Samantha, who has also made the decision to greatly increase her pay scale, is joining this exclusive group. samantha used to charge between Rs 3.5 and Rs 4 crore for each assignment, but she is now making news for allegedly raising her rate. She is reportedly demanding an impressive Rs 10 crore for her part in the upcoming bollywood web series "Citadel," making her one of the few South Asian actors to command a salary in the two figures (in crores). Even though samantha makes a lot of money, her income is still far less than that of Nayanthara and Trisha.
