Rashmika Mandanna has spoken out yet again over deepfake videos. On monday (November 27), the actress was promoting her forthcoming film Animal in hyderabad when she labelled deepfakes "scary," adding that she is grateful to everyone who spoke out in her support after the video went viral. Rashmika's comment comes as alia Bhatt's deepfake video becomes popular on social media.
"Deepfakes have been around for a while, and we've normalised them, but it's not okay," rashmika told Hindustan Times. "Deepfakes have been around for a while, and we've normalised them, but it isn't okay," she said, adding, "I always wondered who would even care if I chose to speak up and point out that it isn't okay." So I'm grateful to everyone in the film industry who has supported me. I realise now how critical it is to speak up. "I want to encourage women to seek help when they need it," the actress continued.
