Stepping Into the Character of Mukti
Kriti Sanon opens up about portraying Mukti, a character she describes as layered, complex, and emotionally demanding.
She highlights that Mukti’s journey has a diverse emotional graph, evolving significantly from the beginning to the end of the film.
According to Kriti, many of Mukti’s motivations, conflicts, and internal dilemmas are not expressed verbally, making the performance more intricate.
She explains that several key moments had no dialogue, requiring her to rely solely on expressions, eyes, and internal processing to convey depth.
Kriti shares that playing a character where “a lot is not said in words” was a new and creatively enriching experience for her as an actor.
The Intensity of the Pre-Climax & Climax
The actress reveals that the pre-climax and climax sequences were among the most challenging parts of the film.
These scenes were very long, emotionally charged, and physically demanding, pushing her beyond her comfort zone.
Kriti mentions that the team shot these crucial sequences for five to six days straight, adding to the exhaustion.
She describes the scenes as the peak emotional point of the story, requiring deep focus and sustained intensity.
The heavy emotional tone affected not just her but the entire cast and crew, who she sensed were equally low on energy.
Lingering Emotional Impact
Kriti admits that the emotional weight of the scenes often stayed with her even after leaving the set.
She recalls going home feeling drained, heavy, and emotionally pulled down, reflecting the depth of the performance required.
The actress notes that even in her vanity van, her team could sense the tense and exhausted atmosphere during those shooting days.
